Terms of Service
Last updated: June 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of the website at withcanoe.co (the "Site"), operated by Quiet Practice LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Canoe ("Canoe," "I," "me"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About Canoe and the Site
Canoe is a studio that builds websites, brand identity, intake, scheduling, and the operational systems that practices, healing centers, and retreats run on. The Site is informational. Any paid work I do for you is governed by a separate written service agreement that you sign. If anything in these terms conflicts with that signed agreement, the signed agreement controls for that work.
3. Use of the Site
You may use the Site to learn about my work and to contact me. You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its underlying systems.
- Attempt to access non-public areas, including the admin and intake systems.
- Scrape or harvest data from the Site for abusive or competing purposes.
4. Intellectual property
The Site, including its text, design, brand, and code, is owned by Quiet Practice LLC and protected by applicable law. You may not copy or reuse it without my permission. Ownership of custom deliverables I create for a client is governed by the signed service agreement for that engagement, not by these terms.
5. No contract from browsing or booking
Viewing the Site, sending an inquiry, or booking a discovery call does not create a client engagement or any obligation for me to perform work. An engagement begins only when both parties sign a service agreement.
6. Payments
Where I provide paid services, fees and payment terms are set in your signed service agreement and processed through Stripe. These Site terms do not by themselves create a payment obligation.
7. Third-party services
The Site links to and relies on third-party services, including Cal.com for scheduling and Stripe for payments. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. My separate Disclaimer is incorporated into these terms by reference and explains the limits of what Canoe provides, including that I do not provide medical, therapeutic, legal, or regulatory advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiet Practice LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. My total liability relating to the Site is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Liability relating to paid work is governed by the signed service agreement.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quiet Practice LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms.
11. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
12. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
13. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms govern your use of the Site. For client work, the signed service agreement is the governing document.
